Mendez Nunez & Camino De Rhonda
I live on a street called Mendez Nunez,
very close to the super active street “Camino De Rhonda”. In a five minute walk I can get to
many places. There are many bars, restaurants,
parks, and even a gym in less than a 5 minute walk away from me!

Sadly I don’t get
to utilize the gym as often as I would like to because I am very busy during
the week, but it’s still great for me to be so close to it if I do indeed find
some time! In my opinion Granada is always fairly busy. In the morning fewer
pedestrians are walking, in comparisons to in the afternoon when cars are
coming from everywhere and I have to be extremely alert. I prefer to walk through the city mostly
between the hours of 2-4pm, in my opinion the city as a whole is the most
vibrant at the time.
Since I really enjoy eating whenever I can, it is very awesome that I live so close to the Dia supermarket on Camino De Ronda. Usually my experiences end with me, and the cashier joking about the thickness of our accents. Its so interesting to see that although there markets carry generally the same type of material as back home, the entire set ups are just very different!

As I mentioned before there are so many restaurants around Granada, especially on Camino De Ronda. I want to show you guys a few I have been to so far. By the way, Ann Arbor sadly cannot compete =(.
1st. Shawarma Damasco- The best Sharwarma I have ever had! And I am a Detroiter so Granada faced stiff competition. I can thank Emily for dragging me out the house to discover this greatness, on a very tired night because pictures of their Sharwarma's should be in the dictionary for the word heaven.
The first but not last!
2nd. Cerveceria Agamenon
This is definitely a well like restaurant among a lot of us. We usually meet here for tapas, or to drink vino. Especially Tinto de Verano which is elite! It always makes for a good time, after a long week of work.
Last and least! Casa Ramón
By far the most interesting that I have eaten in so far in Granada. It is a very nice restaurant with grate customer service and a beautiful view of the city. The Tapas were very exotic (to me), and
unlike any others I have seen here. My friend Emily and I had dinner here, and lets just say the best thing I had was the la ensalda, nevertheless the experience was awesome. It was very interesting to
see our waiter bring Shrimp (with the eyes), and Octopus as our tapas (Yes we ate them).
Pulpo (Octopus)
Y Shrimp (Con los Ojos)
Fun time
Usually I go out one night a week (Saturdays), because I like to get ahead on Fridays. Ive never been much of a discoteca person(night club) but A few class mates and I visited a very popular club this week Called campus, and you guessed it! Its full of college students. It is very awesome because as long as we have our student I.D we get in for free. Here many students are age dance a lot just like we do back in Ann Arbor. However unlike in Ann Arbor where most parties end a 2am, here they dont start until 2am (its normal to be out until 6am. I love being cultured, and learning so many new things but is it bad that I get most excited when I hear a very American Usher song
No or
Campus before we infiltrate
Adios amigos y amigas!
