Fashion! - Espana edition

The people in Granada have an interesting way of dressing.  Not only that, their dress is very different from the U.S.  I've noticed that the people here tend to have a naturally dressier style in relation to an individual who lives in the United States.

During the weekday, it is more likely to see an individual with a t-shirt and jeans but the presentation of the outfit is in a more formal manner. The clothes can be considered casual in the U.S., but it has more of a calmer look to it.  The casual in the U.S. can be wild colors and it wouldn't matter.  If you were to wear bright colors here, you would have views and probably be the topic of their conversation.

A daily outfit for a Spainiard would include something that looks dressy but still is conmfortable.  The outfit would be very calm in terms of design and color.  With that being said, an outfit would include something simple, and a color that could be considered neutral or slightly attentive. For women, it wouldn't be a shocker if you seen them looking slightly dressier.

Males almost always have on loafers or dressy gym shoes depending on the apparel.  Women either wear heels or flats that are dressier than usual.  They also look comfortable, but it just adds to the dressy style they have.

Older men and women usually wear simple things but they keep it classy still.  An older male would have on a button-up and some slacks with their shirts tucked in. You would also probably see that their belt matches their loafers. Younger people usually add more flare by adding bright colors to their wardrobe to look dressy but classy.

Another reason why they are considered dressier to us is because we can wear gym clothes anywhere and not be looked as differently.  Women wear leggings and men wear gym shorts and jogging pants around freely in the U.S., but you would never see it in Spain unless they are actually working out.

The weekend outfits are much more dressier than the already dressy outfits they wear throughout the week. It's the time to go out in the streets and show off your look.  You wear some larger heels if you're a woman, and you wear a dressier shirt if you're a male.  Older men will usually wear slacks.

The hairstyle for men look just like the photo above. I see nothing else but that photo.  Women usually keep their hair straight down or in a ponytail.

Younger people are usually live and hyper at night.  I usually see a few in the streets during the day but in cliques with other young people. They pretty much act like any teen I see.  I don't talk to many teens especially when their with their group of friends because my Spanish isn't fluent, but I feel as if they would be open arms if I did spoke to them.
